Burgers made with turkey meat are an easy way to enjoy a classic summer BBQ staple without the high intake of calories and fat. A serving of 99% lean ground turkey meat only has only 2 grams of fat—even very lean ground beef has 16 grams of fat with 6 grams of saturated fat. Goes perfect with this Minus the Mayo Potato Salad.

20 oz. ground turkey meat
8 oz. Greek style yogurt (go for the fat free, it tastes just as good)
1 clove finely chopped garlic
1 tsp. sweet paprika
1 tsp. oregano
1.5 tbsp. chopped fresh dill
2 oz. Crumbled feta cheese (low fat feta is preferable)
1 pinch salt and pepper
4 Multi-grain or whole wheat pitas

Combine the yogurt, garlic, paprika, oregano, dill, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a large bowl. Reserve about a third of this mixture to top off your burger later on. Mix the turkey meat with the remaining 2/3 of the yogurt. Form the meat into 4 patties and place on a hot grill or in a preheated skillet.

Allow the burgers to cook for about 7-8 minutes on each side, before melting a touch of feta cheese on top. Grill pitas if desired. Now, stuff your pita with the turkey-feta burger, a dollop of the reserved yogurt, and any of your burger must haves. Just add lettuce and tomatoes, or run wild with the Greek theme and add Kalamata olives, cucumbers, and lemon zest.
